2025 SAYFA PRE-SEASON CAMP

Join Coach Hentges and the SHS Varsity Football team for a fun filled camp this summer. 

When?

• August 4th, 5th, and 6th (Monday - Wednesday)
• 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM​​​​

Where?

• Riverview Intermediate School - Football Stadium

What's included?

• Passing drills, non contact football core elements, and mini games. 

When should I register? 

• $65 Early Bird: Closes July 18th (enter CAMPEARLYBIRD25 at checkout)
• $75 Regular Camp Registration: Before July 31st

Key Dates:

• August 26th, 27th, 28th: Skills & Evaluation Sessions (5:30-7:00 PM)
• September 2nd & 4th: Team Practices (assigned teams)
• September 6th: Kick-Off Classic & First Game at the Football Stadium (RIS). Game times will be communicated once teams are finalized, scheduled between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. For September 6th only.
• We run 6 weeks of games (Sept 6th-Oct 11th) 

Flag Football for All!

SAYFA's regular season program is open to all area students going into 2nd - 6th grade this fall 2025. 

The program uses the NFL Flag program and runs a modified 7 man field. It is a fun developmental program that does not have contact, but helps set up the fundamentals to prepare players for Middle School football (which may include some footwork, blocking pad, and ring work drills at the Coach's discretion).

Varsity = players entering 5th & 6th grade this fall.
JV = players entering 3rd & 4th grade this fall.
2nd Grade = players entering 2nd grade this fall.

JV/Varsity (3rd-6th grade)

As an ongoing way to help prepare youth for football, the SAYFA program is offering a modified version of flex football w/shoulder pads (5th/6th grade) and flag football (3rd/4th grade) to better simulate middle school mechanics and modified rules to help accommodate and encourage fundamental growth of what makes football so amazing: blocking and teamwork.

Equipment requirements:

• Soft sided helmet (Rugby style, or Gamebreaker)
• Full lip mouth guards (battle style)
• Shoulder pads and jerseys will be provided for flex football (varsity players)

Details:

• Practice: Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:30 pm - 7:00 pm)
• Games: Saturday mornings (excluding kickoff classic)
• Kickoff Classic plays at the Stadium (RIS)
• Registration fee:
  • $175 Early Bird: Closes Aug 1st    (enter SEASONEARLYBIRD25 at checkout)
  • $195 registration for JV & Varsity

2nd Grade Football

Players entering 2nd grade can participate in our Flag Football league. This consists of skill building, shuffled teams and scrimmages, and a lot of fun. SAYFA's 2nd grade program focuses on building a healthy foundation to start their football careers. 

• Practices and scrimmages: Mondays and Wednesdays (5:30 pm - 7:00 pm)
• September 9th-October 9th (10 sessions)
• Registration fee: $35

• Soft sided helmet (Rugby style, or Gamebreaker)
• Full lip mouth guards (battle style)

If you have a desire to coach within the SAYFA program, you will need to register. Along with registration, you will be required to gain a concussion certification. We will be using Trusted Coaches this season for coaching training. If you have been certified in the past, we will ask you to go through this training again. More information will be provided in the near future.

Even if you are registered, you will not be allowed to be on the field with the kids if we do not have a current certificate. Registration does not completely confirm that you will be asked to coach. We do limit how many coaches are on each team. Registering early will increase  your chance of coaching.
