Question: On what nights are practices held?

Answer: Practices before school starts are normally four nights per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. After school starts, we practice twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The 6th Grade tournament team will have an additional practice each week. SAYFA will schedule that practice and location at the beginning of the season.


Question: When are games played, and what time do they start?

Answer: All grades play their games on Saturday mornings. 3rd & 4th grades play all games at Sartell Middle School. 5th & 6th grades may play teams from surrounding communities. Home games will be held at SMS. Away games will be listed on the schedule. Start times may vary, please check the Calendar weekly.


Question: Will travel be involved?

Answer: The varsity teams will play teams from other communities. There may be travel involved. Parents will be responsible for getting players to away games. Currently, the other teams played are Sauk Rapids, St. Cloud Tech and St. Cloud Apollo.


Question: What is the 6th grade tournament team?

Answer: This is a team comprised of 6th graders that is separate from their regular varsity team. This team will practice together each week leading up to MEA weekend when they will participate in a Tournament.


Question: Will all players play in games?

Answer: SAYFA is a teaching organization that promotes development in all facets of the game. Each player will play a different position each week to allow exposure to both offense and defense.
